For families who are in crisis, have been victims of disasters, or are experiencing overwhelming poverty, keeping their children in school and on track with their education can be very challenging, if not, even impossible. More than 124 million children and youth around the world are out of school, with some having no access to an educational center, others not being able to afford the expenses of educational and other miscellaneous fees in attending classes, while many young girls in different countries are simply kept at home due to the belief and practice of having women only fulfill their sole purpose of giving birth and taking care of the house and children.
It is a given fact that a brighter and better future, as well as more opportunities to succeed and alleviate one’s self from poverty, starts with proper education—equipped with the tools and assistance needed to find one’s path to success in life. However, many children do not have the means or access to this kind of education and support, and that is where we come in.
Chief Stephen O. Nwankwo Children’s Literacy Foundation International Incorporated in Houston Texas, USA is a non-profit organization based in Texas which aims to uplift and improve the quality of lives of the underprivileged youth in the developing rural communities of Nigeria. Because we believe that proper education and health care is the key towards a better state of life, we strive to help give the children of Nigeria access to these in order to live better lives and gain the opportunity to make something out of themselves. We have made it our duty to empower these children through learning so that they can acquire the skills and knowledge needed to achieve success.
As a non-profit organization in Houston Texas, we are committed to changing and making an impact on the lives of the underprivileged youth in Nigeria who each deserve an opportunity to succeed in the path they want to pursue in life. We are unable, however, to do this alone. As the children of Nigeria need our help and strength to get through the trials they face in their lives, especially when it comes to education and healthcare, so do we need the collective support of everyone who is willing to make a difference in these young people’s lives.
Let us work together to make child education international and readily accessible to everyone, including those who are in the grips of poverty, crisis, or calamity. If you wish to help but cannot find the time to do so, then your sincere donation would be more than enough to help change lives. As we do the work in helping to improve the lives of the children of Nigeria, you can rest easy knowing you have contributed to the betterment of these underprivileged children’s lives.
